NAHA Directors Share why they volunteer for NAHA:

I volunteer as a NAHA Director because I am passionate about AROMA Therapy since my exposure to it in the early 80's in Europe. By volunteering it allows me to meet individuals that have made essential oils available to people of all walks of life.
It is an honor to volunteer in any capacity, to make the process easier for all folks from someone off the street to the aromatherapists and the professionals who continue to teach us on a regular basis. Joyce Benoit NAHA Director Massachusetts

Volunteering for NAHA, at the Conference, as a Regional Director for Florida and now South Carolina and as a member of the Board, has given me more appreciation for the organization and the opportunity to meet wonderful people and make a difference. I am grateful for the rewards on all levels that I have received in return for my service to this very special group.
Shellie Enteen BA LMT NAHA Director Coordinator; Director South Carolina

I have a passion for true aromatherapy and have enjoyed volunteering for NAHA with hopes that my efforts will help pioneer Aromatherapy as a mainstream holistic health practice in this country. I enjoy networking with fellow aromatherapists and learning as much as I can about nature’s magical Essential Oils. The greatest thing about volunteering for NAHA is the aromatic family to which I belong.
Cherisse Gigli, RN BSN RA CCAP NAHA North East District Director; Director New Jersey

The support and camaraderie I have found from the other NAHA Directors has been wonderful! With NAHA, the Aromatherapy community really is a "community", where everyone is valued and everyone's input is needed. It is wonderful to have the sage advice of those who have been using essential oils for many years, combined with the enthusiasm and inquisitiveness of those who are just starting on their aromatic journey. I have been a professional member of NAHA for only two years, but it has already helped me grow so much! I want to do whatever I can to "give back" and help others who are entering the Aromatherapy field. I am very excited about the work that NAHA is doing, especially the mission to educate the public about "true" Aromatherapy, and I am glad to be able to contribute whatever I can to this effort.
Deborah Halvorson BA RA NAHA Director Orange County, California.

I like volunteering as a NAHA Director because I am blessed with the opportunity to share and receive education from others in the field of aromatherapy as it pertains to new and old aromatherapy concepts, research studies and essential oil facts. This is an amazing group of selfless and passionate individuals who have many talents, gifts, morals and values. Their goal is to be a supportive conduit to others by supplying true, genuine and honest education about the uses and benefits of holistic aromatherapy. It is an honor to be a part of this wonderful group and to be able to share NAHA with others in need of aromatherapy guidance.
Jennifer Hochell NAHA Director Central Florida

The volunteer effort I do as NAHA a Director is a big part of my commitment to the Aromatherapy effort taking place here in the US. It is so important to educate the public, learn and grow with the different aromatherapy communities we are involved with, and the support we give to these organizations through volunteer efforts is a great way to connect with professionals practicing, researching, and teaching Aromatherapy around the world.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to volunteer as a Director at this year´s NAHA Conference.
Tanya LaMothe NAHA Director Northeast in New York's Capital District Region

"I've been a Mind Body Therapist for 30 years, aromatic energy medicine is an integral part of my practice. I enjoy Masterminding with groups of people with similar interests to achieve individual, as well as group goals. Developing relationships with NAHA members has been very satisfying for me. NAHA is an incredibly diverse group of open hearted people who recognize and appreciate the immense value of aromatic oils and are committed to achieving common objectives in the art and practice of true aromatherapy. It's an honor to serve as the NAHA Oregon Director!" KG Stiles, LMT, CAT, RBT, CBT
