She hopes to empower her clients to better health and connection with life through healing with essential oils, and compassionate care.
Aromatherapy has been an active passion for Wendy for the past 15 years. In 2010 she gained her Aromatherapy certification from the Institute of Integrative Aromatherapy.
Wendy’s background has always been one that involves plants, beginning in childhood with a fascination of flowers, through university where she studied plant biology.
Most of her travels have involved learning about agriculture and plants from working on various farms throughout Australia and New Zealand. While in Australia Wendy studied permaculture at the Tyalgum Permaculture Reasearch Institute (1999), then followed those studies with Organic farming classes, and classes on herbal and medicinal plants in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada (2000/2001). This passion and practice of tending to the land and plants eventually led Wendy to a beautiful south facing property in British Columbia, Canada where she was the owner/operator of an organic fruit and vegetable farm for 6 years. During this time she supplied organic salad greens, raspberries, and many other fruits and vegetables to the area’s five-star restaurants, at farmers markets and for a custom basket program.
Now, Wendy enjoys bringing this experience of plants to her practice of Aromatherapy together with her counseling experience (certification of counseling in 2000 from the Counseling Training Institute, Victoria, B.C., Canada), to aid in the healing path of her clients. Wendy is a Professional Member of NAHA and is the NAHA Regional Director for Hawaii.
