Gabriel Mojay MIFPA, MBAcC, MRSS

Gabriel Mojay is Principal of the Institute of Traditional Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy, which has branches in London, England and Atlanta, Georgia. He first studied natural medicine in 1978, when he began to train in Shiatsu Therapy and Oriental Medicine. He has since qualified in Aromatherapy, Medical

Herbalism and Acupuncture, and has undertaken advanced studies in essential oil science with some of the world´s leading experts. In 1990 he founded the Register of Qualified Aromatherapists (RQA), which in April 2002 amalgamated to form the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA). He is IFPA Vice-Chairman and was Co-Editor of its professional journal In Essence until 2004.

Gabriel is co-author of Shiatsu ~ the complete guide (1991), and of Aromatherapy for Healing the Spirit (1996). The latter book outlines a systematic way of applying the psychological benefits of essential oils according to the body-mind relationships of Oriental Medicine. However, the major focus of his work has been on the application of Oriental Medicine to clinical aromatherapy as a whole - including its integration with the scientific principles of essential oil therapeutics.
