This gentle yet powerful hand massage is based on the synergistic powers of touch and smell...a universal language of compassion. The gentle rhythmic massage serves to balance the autonomic nervous system, promote lymphatic drainage, and give the body and mind a deep and quiet rest. Candace Newman has been working with essential oils for 20 years. Candace developed this aromatherapy treatment in the early 1990's as a Hospice volunteer and retreat instructor when full massage and other treatments were not appropriate. Over the years she has taught this to hundreds of therapists, nurses, volunteers, caregivers and lay people. It has also been used with AIDS, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's groups....as well as Grandmas and Moms.

Candace Newman MAT, LMT, The Oil Lady® holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and is a Licensed Massage Therapist. Her Aromatherapy training and certificates are from Purdue University and leading Aromatherapists in Canada, England, France, and Germany. She is one of the authors of The World of Aromatherapy, has contributed to many national and international publications, and made over 250 appearances. Two of her classes are now available on DVD, and continuing education is available through her Aromatherapy Guide Series. Candace is owner of Oil Lady Aromatherapy® and The Good Medicine Tin® Company LLC with her husband, John, and is founder of the Touch With Oils® Aromatherapy work. Candace was Micheline Arcier’s seventh and last student in the USA in the English Aromatherapy Face and Body Treatment. She is now teaching this in the original form taught to her. She is an approved educational provider for the National Certification Board of Therapeutic and Massage Body-workers (NCBTMB).
