Jade holds a Diploma in Holistic Aromatherapy, Holistic Massage, Anatomy and Physiology, and Reflexology from the Raworth College of Natural Medicine in Dorking, UK, and a Diploma in Aromatherapy from the International Therapist Examining board (ITEC). She has studied with Jan Kusmirek of Fragrant Studies and has completed Part One of the Purdue University Advanced Studies of Essential Oils. She has also completed a certificate program for Herbal Medicine with Master Herbalist, Erin Groh and a certificate program for Spa Bodywork with Anne Williams. Jade has been practicing and studying forms of natural healing for over two decades, and was one of the vanguard of professionals who helped introduce aromatherapy to the US. She has been an aromatherapy educator for over 22 years, opening her first aromatherapy school, The Institute for Dynamic Aromatherapy (IDA), in the New England area in 1990. In 2003, the IDA changed its name to: The East-West School for Herbal and Aromatic Studies in order to acknowledge the growing interest in both herbal and aromatic remedies and our love for the healing philosophies of the east and the west.
She has designed and taught aromatherapy courses for massage and bodywork therapists, estheticians, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare providers. Jade has taught at Bastyr University (Adjunct Faculty), Duke University (Continuing Education), Ashmead College, San Diego Hospice, and at various locations throughout the United States and Canada. She has traveled extensively throughout Canada, the United States, England, and Japan exploring aromatherapy practices and businesses. Jade has played an active role in the setting of standards for aromatherapy education in North America and was the creator of ‘Synergia 97’, a conference devoted to raising educational standards in North America. This conference was the birth place of the Aromatherapy Registrations Council (ARC). Jade has authored published articles on this and other aromatherapy issues. Her first textbook “Aromatherapy for Bodyworkers” was released by Prentice-Hall in September of 2007.
Between 2000 and 2003, Jade Shutes served as president of the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy.
Current Past President: Kelly Holland Azzaro, RA, CCAP, CBFP, LMT
Kelly Holland Azzaro, RA, CCAP, CBFP, LMT, is a Registered Aromatherapist, Certified Clinical Aromatherapy Practitioner, Certified Bach Flower Practitioner, Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Practitioner, Past Vice President (NAHA) and current Past President of NAHA (National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy). Kelly continues to volunteer as part of the NAHA Journal Committee and NAHA Safety Committee, and as the NAHA Director for North Carolina.
Kelly has over 20 years professional experience and educational training in Aromatherapy and Massage Therapy. She also has specialized training in Canine and Equine Acupressure-Massage Therapies, Intuitive Animal Communication, Crystal-Gemstone Therapy, Reiki, Aromatherapy and Flower Essence Therapy for people and their animal friends. Kelly has also created ‘Ashi Aromatics Inc.’, an all natural botanical product line for both people and pets, and is approved by PETA as Cruelty-free Vegan.
Kelly is approved by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a Continuing Education Approved Provider, and her Animal Aromatherapy Practitioner Certification Course meets the NAHA Standards of Education requirements. She offers educational programs in Aromatherapy, Flower Essences and Massage and Energy-work Therapies.
Kelly is the Founder and Director of The Holistic Animal Association Network. The Holistic Animal Association is dedicated to empowering others through education and promotion for the holistic and natural healing therapies for our animal friends.
Kelly, and her husband Marco a Licensed Acupuncturist and Qigong Practitioner/Instructor have a Holistic Healing Center where they work together as a team to educate and empower others through holistic services, education and support.
Vice President: Annette Davis
Annette Davis is a Clinical Nutritionist with over 20 years of Aromatherapy experience. She began her Aromatherapy career as the Secretary of the first American Aromatherapy Association (AATA) founded in 1987. She regularly teaches aromatherapy and clinical phytotherapy classes to health professionals and medical students.
Annette has studied under Dr. Jean Claude Lapraz for 20 years. Dr. Lapraz is a practicing French Medical Doctor, world-renowned pioneer in the field of clinical phytotherapy and aromatherapy, and the co-innovator of Endobiogénie. Annette practices Endobiogénie at the Endobiogenic Integrative Medical Center (EIMC) located in Pocatello, ID. This innovative medical concept, based on a refined view of the neuro-endocrine system, integrates classical medicine with herbs and supplements, essential oils, dietary and lifestyle modifications to create a truly holistic treatment approach to illnesses of the body and mind.
Annette is also the customer relations manager for Time Laboratories, a longtime, well-respected natural products manufacturer founded by her Grandmother, Annemarie Buhler.

Jennifer Hochell Pressimone is a holistic aromatherapist, herbalist, educator, author and owner of JennScents, Inc., a custom blending aromatherapy bar in Clermont, Florida. She has blended, formulated and created essential oil products for therapeutic use since 1999.
Jennifer offers a variety of aromatherapy and natural health courses for all levels and provides continuing education credits to Florida Massage Therapists. Jennifer specializes in therapeutic aromatherapy for health concerns, skin care, women and children’s health, animal care and natural cleaning. She creates custom blends to meet the needs of her customers as well as offers educational workshops to teach others how to safely incorporate natural health options into their daily lives. Jennifer has been a professional donor member of NAHA since 2004, a Director since 2005 and Public Relations Coordinator since 2010. Jennifer is dedicated to bringing more awareness to the use and benefits of true aromatherapy. Through her books, educational classes and research, she hopes to make significant contributions to the world of aromatherapy and help others help themselves. Sharon Falsetto is a UK certified clinical aromatherapist who trained with Penny Price Aromatherapy. After traveling widely, personal circumstances led her to move to the United States in 2006; she founded her own aromatherapy practice, Sedona Aromatherapie, in 2007. Sharon has training at one of the highest levels in English aromatherapy but with an understanding of the American market. She also has a graduate honors degree in business, a diploma in reflexology and over ten years experience of UK government health related services.
Sedona Aromatherapie now operates predominately as an online business, although Sharon works with local clients and businesses on request. Sharon offers online and distance learning professional aromatherapy courses, aromatherapy courses for beginners and make-your-own products kits. She wrote all of the courses and kits herself, based on her aromatherapy practice and education, in addition to her professional experience as a writer. She offers her professional writing skills for hire to other aromatherapy businesses and therapists in the form of newsletter writing, article writing, content writing, e-books and more.
Sharon understands the importance of hands on practice and enjoys creating custom aromatherapy blends for weddings, spas, therapists and the individual in the form of therapeutic essential oil blends, custom skincare products and product lines, wedding favors, aromatherapy gifts, and custom candles, in addition to writing and teaching.
Sharon writes professionally about aromatherapy as a ghost writer and blogger for other aromatherapy businesses and websites, through guest posts on blogs, as a regular writer and contributor on websites and e-journals and for other professional publications as requested; she writes her own aromatherapy blog, Aromatherapy Notes, in addition to maintaining two aromatherapy information websites, Aromatherapy Library and Aromatherapy Glossary.
Sharon has taken advanced aromatherapy training in aromatherapy for pregnancy, aromatherapy for babies and children and chemistry of essential oils and carrier oils. In the summer of 2012, Sharon traveled to France to undertake a 5 day aromatherapy study trip, studying (and partaking) in the growing and distillation of aromatic plants firsthand.
Sharon loves to write about aromatherapy, share information about aromatherapy, and to teach and inform others about true aromatherapy! She is the secretary and the Arizona regional director for the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA).
